Premier Vision PARIS

Another huge international trade show I visited this year was Premiere vision in Paris.

The show was divided into several sections such as yarns, fabrics, leather, accessories, manufacturing and the most important for me ....designs!

Premiere Vision Designs welcomes 15,000 professionals from 110 countries. Most of them are internationals.
It was incredible source of inspiration in patterns, embroideries, knits, fabrics and different motifs.

Because at Premiere Vision you are not allowed to take pictures, I  will show you some booklets we got.

Without map guide you would get lost, so big it is. And also very handy is a list of all brands inside with numbers of their stands.

This creative "de-stress book" underneath was really good idea how to make you think about PV after you get home. Why couldn't adults have some fun with coloring? As you can see ...I started already.

Another little book was all about inspiration and trends.

Some of their tips for print designing are:
Show off the contours, Play with the real object, Compile simple shapes, Hand tracing, Layering, Use stripes as perspective, Overdosing is recommended...

Thea Porter

Recently I have been to Thea Porter exhibition in Fashion and Textile Museum.

Thea was born in Jerusalem and was a fashion designer who created clothes made from fabric that drew much of their inspiration from Middle East. Exoticism of her clothes won her international success. She was dressing stars as Pink Floyd, Crystal Gayle, Elizabeth Taylor and Barbara Streisand, while featuring several fashion magazines.

She said: "Whatever else clothes may be about, I believe the must add to the enjoyment of life."

Have a look at some of her designs, that interested me.
