Filep exhibition

I am spending my holidays in Slovakia, therefore I went to local gallery to see a new exhibition. The exhibition was called " In capture of color and movement" and it was painted by Stefan Filep, Slovak artist. Its pretty modern art and it surely is about color. All of his paintings are inspired by his surroundings, childhood and reality. He also depicted nature, weather and animals and sometimes sets man into this chaos of being. I am feeling very positively, when I am looking at his mixture of  color and brush strokes, and I can imagine some of them in my flat.

The first one was named " Garlic and onion". You really can see it when you focus. Purple is not my favorite, though I like contrast with yellow. The second one  "Still life" is kind of separated into squares, but seems very balanced to me. The third one is not so vibrant in color, although dark spot in the bottom is pulling me into and I would like to walk in.

"Next to the torrent" has an amazing brush strokes.

Two absolutely favorite ones called "The thistle" and "The secret of the trees" have perfect color combination and composition.
I must say, I enjoyed the exhibition very much. What do you think?
